Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the "Hazardous Waste Elimination Management List (2021 Edition)", which clarified that the solid wastes required by the list are not hazardous wastes.
Seven types of resin production process waste produced in the granulation process are included in the list, they are: polyethylene (PE) resin, polypropylene (PP) resin, polystyrene (PS) resin, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin and other seven types of resin granulation processing products Substandard products, large cake materials, floor materials, waterlogged materials and transition materials produced in the process.
The "Implementation Plan for Strengthening the Reform of Hazardous Waste Supervision and Utilization and Disposal Capacity" issued by the General Office of the State Council puts forward clear requirements for improving the hazardous waste identification system. The first is to dynamically adjust the "National Hazardous Waste List" based on the identification of hazardous wastes and research results to make the hazardous wastes included in the list more accurate and scientific, and implement specific link exemption management for hazardous wastes with low environmental risks. The second is to establish a hazardous waste elimination management list, focusing on wastes whose attributes are identified as controversial in the current environmental management, identifying and screening solid wastes that do not have hazardous characteristics, and avoiding "excessive" identification and repeated identification.
